Are you enjoying yourself right now? If you are, whatever you’re doing is probably not good for you, and that’s not just because you are supposed to be working on a project for your boss or finishing your thesis instead of reading articles on the internet.

Consider the things you do when you want to enjoy yourself. Most likely those things have more in common than just the ability to make you smile. The sad fact is that getting a beer with friends or eating a cheeseburger after a long day may make you feel better, but these things are the opposite of what modern medicine says you should be doing.

Every time you bite into a pork chop, mix yourself a drink or watch your favorite TV show, you feel a little better, but you are doing the opposite of what health experts say you should do. Does this mean that the best way to look after your own health is to do the opposite of what you desire?
